Inspiration 

What is it that inspires you ? 

What makes your heart sing ?

What matters more than anything ?

That's a big question, but you know.

It's having someone who believes in you,

It's having someone who speaks the truth,

It's having someone who's not afraid to fail.

It's having someone whom you can trust,

It's having someone who is not always strong,

It's having someone who shares their feelings.

It's having someone who stands by you,

It's having someone who truly understands, 

It's having someone who lives their faith. 

It's so much more than that you know. 

You sometimes find that special gift,

But are you truly ready to take them on ?

They say they are a handful so be careful,

They are smart and always want to learn,

They are sometimes fragile showing their pain.

They questioned things always wanting better. 

They are so beautiful from the inside and out, 

And even better, they become your trusted friend.

A lifetime of fears and anxieties, do you dare ? 

They understand you better than even you do,

They take the time to listen as you two talk,

What a special connection hearts beating as one

Time to sing alleluia to the Lord Almighty,

It's so cool to have someone trusted to love,

So throwing caution to the wind you begin. 

It's an adventure of a lifetime, here I come, 

Let us walk together to face our fears,

Such an inspiration being able to do it together

Poetry - Do You Dare

 

Thoughts form in my mind full of anticipation and many desires 

But that is not enough and have to I ask  you Do You Dare  ??

Do You Dare 

Do you dare embrace and love  This woman standing before you

She's not like others you've known before Her eyes ablaze asking are you ready 

She has been through way too much  Yeah most turn their backs being afraid

No she's not innocent so much hurt inside There are no lies or a rush to judge you 

There is a storm that covers what's inside Strength within her heart hoping to survive

She has the will and soul of a warrior Capable of so much with burning desires

She's stubborn never giving up the fight Showing such character and that determination 

She is a complex woman with beauty inside Do you dare step up accepting the challenge

Walking beside her ready to face life's storms Looking around carefully, not backing down 

Her heart is pure with the storm her strengths Overcoming anything thrown in her path. 

Do you dare see below the hard surface Full of anger doubts from countless others 

Stepping up to her saying okay I'm ready Taking the time to listen and understand. 

Her complexity a rare treasure to cherish Not afraid to see her amazing qualities 

Her heart with flaws turned into strengths. What a warrior with strength and beauty

She has that rare spirit that flows to you. Needing freedom and offering true love 

We ignite the fire with such high expectations Here we are together dancing with the storm 

All because we believe and take the dare

Poetry - Dreaming with Your Heart

 

Dreaming with Your Heart 

There comes a time when you have to remove the blinders that hold you back 

Close your eyes now and look inside and follow your heart for you know more now 

Follow the path that pulls you now toward the light that you know is true way

Don't look back on the past and all that it did to cloud your mind with evil ways too

Your challenge is to see through the myst and push off the shore toward new hope  

Your heart has always know what the mind had tried to hide a purity so rare 

So take that step that brings you closer to a destiny that you've always felt inside 

Reach out your hand to hold and embrace the one who's always believed in you 

Now is the time as the chains fade away and you discover that dreams come true

Breath

Take a deep breath now And know that it will be 

Don't be afraid to take a risk Turn your back and begin anew 

You know you can do it again And don't forget about the light

It's not about the games or fun But being true to only yourself

Take the time to bring God inside And let Him be your true guide 

When you fight and hurt inside  It's time to tell them no more 

It's the one that's stands by you  Who is meant to love you true 

So push off from the shore my child Let the winds fill and open your heart 

You deserve to be happy and alive And have a life that radiates true love

Poetry - Loving with Passion

Loving with Passion

God doesn’t ask you to accept everything, An ordinary life or going through the motions.

Life isn’t always pretty, sweet and nice, It can be filled with pain and deception.

What is it that really drives you to believe, And gives you that passion for life.

Others try to tell you what to do or think, Putting you down saying you’re no good.

My Dad gave me high expectations saying, "Look for the best and never look back”

My passions are different from others, Not following the norm & asking “Why Not”

It becomes a risk to love with your heart, Needing to understand and be heard.

You have to stand firm and believe, For God loves you for all that you are.

I took chances and sometimes failed, Or  succeed by going in new directions.

What the hell, I knew God was pushing me, To find that one person so much like me.

A woman came to me expecting more, Trying to look strong, but fragile inside.

At first, “Can you like me and be a friend?”, “Even with the pain and damage that I feel”

Her life, harder and different from mine, Gave us the same outlook, a rebel in life.

God challenges us to reach out at times, Not turning away from love and belonging.

I stood beside her when no one else dared, And in the process I found a beautiful angel.

Even though I am strong and giving, It’s she that changed me, saving my life.

Standing side by side hand in hand, We know God has a purpose to it all.

At times, I cried and wondered to myself “Why” There was a need to understand and feel loved.

We became best friends, trust and then more, There was something taking us to a higher level.

God puts His gifts into your life for a reason, Forcing you to choose, looking inside and grow.

Will dreams come true, or will I only be hurt again, Remember, true love comes when you believe.

Really,  loving your best friend with passion, Trusting one another with a shared vision & more

That is what God makes possible for a few, Giving you a full life to loving with passion

Poetry - Blue Water

Blue Water

We find ourselves in a new place,

Certainly something that we never expected.

We were sailing along quite fine,

Close to the shore, but getting nowhere.

A light appeared from above, angels too,

Could this be what we really need right now ??

 Do we even dare since we know so little,

But there is a calm feeling, knowing and hoping.

It must be dreams and prayers that are being answered,

By the Lord who has always been here for us.

We are now headed in a completely new direction,

Blue waters that are so deep and uncertain to us.

We should feel scarred with all the big waves,

And the winds that are hitting our faces.

We have left behind sadness and all the hurts,

To find ourselves anew, full of love and peace.
 
We have survived, changed, grown with love,
Because we took a chance with God in our hearts,

He has shown us how to grow and be amazed,

And find a place full of love just for us together.

Hope 

Hope is what keeps us going,,, In the face of adversity and pain.

Hope sings a tune of belief...  And keeps us true to our heart.

Darkness and storms try to overwhelm us...  By carrying doubts, anxieties and fears.

But, they can never be allowed to win the day..  As long as we have dreams of hope and love.

We are so blessed as others stand beside us...  And God is here to guide us along the way.

I  believe in you always and a day...  Take my hand and hold on tight for the ride.

Together, we can overcome any obstacles. With actions that matter and a love so true.

Showing Us The Way

You have been such a guiding light for us
Touching everyone with hope and grace

Your stories and life are such an inspiration
Letting us know that anything is possible

You are a loving woman and angel in disguise
Showing us to have faith and care for others

When life is harsh full of hurts & deceptions
You taught us to dream and to keep believing.

You are always here to listen and not let us fail
How do you do it, understanding before we speak.

You said don't give up and pursue your dreams
Challenging us to become the best that we can

You taught us to be ourselves with ideals and thoughts
Thank you for inspiring us to fulfill our special dreams

And yes Mamaw we listened and followed our hearts
Finding happiness in a faery tale that's coming true.

Loving You from My Heart

I love you so very much Jamie
It's something I never expected

You came into my life with a simple touch
Now I am so alive and I feel so amazed

You are such a strong willed woman with determination
And oh so sensitive and wanting one who truly understands

God in His wisdom gave me a special gift the day we met
You are one in a million and love me as I never been loved

You gave me your heart and soul and I'm just so happy
Come enchant me and let's share everything together

Love can be so simple and yet so mysterious darling
Our love touches our very essence and bring us inside

You continue to amaze me my beautiful Princess
"“Come love me like no one ever has before.” Oh yeah!

Things are crazy and happen for a reason it’s true
Our love lets us understand and make it all so perfect

You’re a gifted woman who gives from your heart
I saw a priceless soul and believe in you with all that I am

You’re just so smart and have a way with words
You’re so intuitive and tell me exactly how you feel

You’ve been hurt by life, but that’s not changed you at all
Lots to share and feel as all your dreams come true

I step to you with sparkles in my eyes
Saying, "I am so in love with you babe"

I want the best for you Jamie Lynn and you’re so happy,
We are a family, you, me and your precious daughters

Now is the time for us honey to sing about love
And dance together with such excitement as a couple

Let us make sense of each day and night together
As we learn even more about life and each other

US

I am a better woman than ever before 
You came into my life changing everything  

David you make me feel vivacious, willing and strong 
You made me feel again and have such compassion 

You made heart turn from stone and blossom 
You molded my character into a vision of beauty 

Your hands have taken me from a broken life 
And healed me from the inside out 

Your words have transformed my life really 
Before I couldn't focus, now I cling to your soul 

Now I know that I have a beautiful future and
Take guidance from your whispers of wisdom 

Your eyes see what no one has ever seen 
You saw there was hope and and just knew 

You believe in me and I'm filled with happiness 
Words can't even express how I really feel 

 I am here perched upon your wings 
As we soar through life high above the world

Rainbows and Dreams

I close my eyes and don't understand...
Why do people do the things they do...
I push them away and want to hide.

I see the clouds gathering with thunder too...
All the rain and myst hides what I once knew...
Those coming closer don't matter anymore.

Why do those you love, family and friends...
Push you away and now you can't even believe...
Please take all this away do I can be free again.

Time to fly, living dreams I still have inside...
I'm falling blindly, oh Lord what can I do now...
So dark, but suddenly light and a soft place.

And angel appears calling you saying gently..
"Jamie, you’re finally ready for dreams come true...
Boy, I have some great surprises just for you.

You are so precious, beautiful with a loving heart...
If you believe in yourself then the darkness will go away...
Come here, open your heart and tell me your story.

You approach and the angel takes your hands into his...

Eyes sparkle, kissing you on your lips, smiles appear...
You think, yes I believe and want so much more now.

I never knew I'd be given a chance such as this...
Dreams you had as a child, are become real...
You need only to accept love and let your heart fly free.

So much is spinning that you can't seem to focus now...
Yes, the sun appears along with a radiant rainbow...
All because you believe and God brings love into your heart.

Poetry - The Gift

The Gift

Little did I know what was about to happen ...
That remarkable day that you walked into my life..

How could I even know how my life would change ...
In ways that I could not even begin to imagine.

God gave me a precious gift that day ...
He came to me sending me a wonderful angel.

Ah, I can hear her say, "I've done some things...
That you might not realize or even like."

"So, how in hell could you even begin, or ...
Know that you'd fall deeply in love with me."

But, I did know that I would do it all ...
Even as I'm pushed to the limit and beyond.

Little did I know that God would ask me to prove...
And show who I am and what I feel inside me.

Now I know that this beautiful Love Flower....
Means so much to me and is truly my destiny.

A fateful day came when she got into a serious mess...
And I almost didn't answer that late nite call to me.

Asking me to help and be there just for her ...
And please don't push her away like all the rest.

God sent His angels to me so that I'd know...
How strong and loving I could really be.

Are you willing to take a stand no matter what...
There will be days full of pain and it's a big risk.

I thought to myself how can I do this all over again....
After I loved her and then she hurt me so much.

But I turned and knew that it was worth the risk...
I'm here to love her and hold her in my arms forever.

So I stepped up and never looked back ever again...
And God's angels came to touch our hearts together.

What more can I even say except I have begun...
A journey that is changing me into a better man.

I did everything I could so it all could become better...
Yes, the risks are great and expectations uncertain.

I stand beside my precious angel, she's my Best Friend...
I am here to comfort her and take away all the pain.

To be here to see her through many rough days ...
And to show her how strong and courageous she is.

There were days when even I had my doubts...
But I knew in my heart that it would all be fine.

Some say I saved her life with all that I've done...
But, it's me that has been saved too by my Nicole.

She tells me that I mean the world to her now ... "
You are my best friend and the only one I truly trust".

"And even more honey, I'm beginning to fly now...
For you give me strength to fulfill all my dreams."

"It's all because you stood by me and truly believed...
I'm where I am right now and I want even more!"

"Thank you .. Thank you my precious man ...
And helping me overcome hurts to discover true love".

Ah, yes, I only know what I see is in front of me now...
She has changed so much and the world is now at her feet.

You make me so happy honey as I stand next to you...
You and I are just so strong, but a little fragile too.

What really happened is that God has changed our lives...
"You know that God is great and He is here for you and me"

Yes I know as I sing praises to Him and all of the angels...
And the one angel who stood up and grew her new wings.

Now she has eyes that see just what matters the most....
Faith and dedication to God Almighty Christ the Savior.

All I can say is that I've been so touched by all this...
And know that everything is possible through faith in God.

I stand here in amazed, loving you even more babe...
As I watch you grow more and more day by day.

I know that it's our faith in God that makes this all possible...
And my promise to you is to be here for you always and forever.

It is so cool to hear you giggle and laugh, oh yeah!
This is the Nicole that I know and love so much.

I made a promise to you when we first met...
That I'd always love you and never turn away.

That means even more to me now...
After all we have shared and been thru together.

Many people hope and expect gifts of jewelry, money or even a car...
But you are different, and want somebody who can be there for you.

Yes, you are God's gift to me that is for sure...
It's all about being true to your heart and ...
Knowing that we have a lifetime to make it so.

Thank you Lord for that special gift that we both share...
Best friends true, loving each other and being ...
Such a vital part of each other and our lives too.

Thoughts and Expectations

 

I reach out towards you not know what to expect...

Can you sense my heart beating, full of many desires?

 

There was a time when things were easier, simpler...

Am I really awake or is this only another silly dream.

The moments fade away and there is the light...

What am I thinking and can it ever be so again.

I know that my faith will allow it to happen...

There is just so much love and wisdom inside.

My heart is out in the open now, beating, wanting...

Oh please, I promise, my eyes filling with tears.

It has been crazy lately, quite mysterious...

But now, I only have thoughts and desires.

Finally I am me again, knowing what will be…

It's all about loving another with my beating heart.
