Poetry - A Garden of Love

A Garden of Love

It began with that special spark –
Some sixty years ago.

Marie and David began to grow –
A garden made from love and trust.

They planted ideas that truly matter –
And surrounded them in rainbows of light.

They’ve enjoyed many beautiful adventures –
And weathered storms of doubts and uncertainty.

They’ve raised four wonderful kids –
Who’ve reflected well upon their values.

The years have come and gone –
Like leaves whispering into the wind.

Both sing with voices to one song –
With many years of happiness between them.

A gift of love so warm, serene and kind –
Comes from a friendship matured by the years.

There is a blessing knowing these two –
And a garden nurtured and filled with love.

Poetry - Loving, Believing

Loving, Believing

I believe in you so much,
I am always here for you.

Oh, when I think about you,
I'm so inspired and filled with love

I look forward to each new day,
So, I can love you even more.

We are here for each other,
Giving support and help always

Ah, precious, spread your wings,
And soar with me to fulfill our dreams

We are so alike in all that we feel and do
Knowing what it takes to be best friends

Listen to me and know your heart,
I'm here to wipe you tears away

I know someone very special, YOU!
Because we have Loving, Believing

A simple psalm written to my wife, Nicole Lynn

Poetry - Precious Love

Precious Love

My desires for you...
are so very real.

I desire to touch you...
kiss you, hold you close

You ignite such strong feelings...
inside me because of your love

The emotions flow and oh, Love Flower...
our love is forever and ever

I hope I am the one just for you.

You know that I will always be true

I feel so very happy and blessed...
because you love me, and I love you!

I Love You my Precious Love

Poetry - My Sunrise

My Sunrise

My sunrise aglow in the
bright of the day

Warm embracing rays of light
to touch my skin

Kissing me passionately
in the wake of the day

Becking me to rise and
love you yet another day

Soothing my heart telling
my heart is pleased

Thanking God for allowing me
this day with you

Poetry - Dad: My Special Friend

Dad – My Special Friend

Come here so I can tell you the story about Dad
He was a special man and such a wonderful angel.

He was my true hero and my very best friend
He showed me how to dream and expect the best.

He was so humble and always here to listen
He seemed to understand even before I spoke.

He was a wise man who gave such practical advice
He had a blessed life and made such a difference.

He encouraged me to pursue my dreams in life
A higher degree and a life of helping others.

He always made sure that everyone was included
He reached out to those that needed it the most.

He challenged me in so many important ways
He accepted me for all my ideals and thoughts

I found a canvas to paint with my own rainbow colors
As he opened the gateway with the key of knowledge

He came to me as the eagle lifted him toward heaven
At eternal peace with the flame burning brightly.

I will miss you so very much my precious Dad
You will live on always in my heart and soul
Showing me the way to live and know what matters

Thank you Dad for loving me like you did
And being my special friend.

Poetry - Knowing, Loving

Knowing, Loving

I know how special you are to me
For you are here to love only me

I care s o very much about you
And we stand here together
In the battle of life and love

I reach out to touch and have you
And you pull me closer to you
And say "David, I love you so much!"

Life often can be hard to comprehend
When dear ones depart from our life

They live on always in our hearts
To show us the true way to live

You are here as my sweet Nicole
And we see the same with such eyes

I will go on to live longer and know
Not only because of all I am
But, because you love me so much.

I give myself and dedicate my life
To the one I truly love, namely YOU!

There are too many pains and suffering
But, I know that I can make it now,
Since we have become joined as lovers

Babe, come here to hold me close
And, yes, let us live and love truly
And know the fairytale can come true

There are great joys in this world
When you have each other to believe
Knowing, Loving you, only you, Nicole

Poetry - The Call

The Call challenges us to discard what we know of ourselves as seen through other people and the world around us, and to delve deep into our own selves to find who we truly are. There is nothing as essential as what we believe ourselves to be, and that it's not necessary to search for meaning in other people and the world's agendas; just be confident of our own distinct gifts, challenges and dreams.

The Call
by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

I have heard it all my life, A voice calling a name I recognized as my own.

Sometimes it comes as a soft-bellied whisper.Sometimes it holds an edge of urgency.

But always it says: Wake up my love. You are walking asleep. There's no safety in that!

Remember what you are and let this knowing take you home to the Beloved with every breath.

Hold tenderly who you are and let a deeper knowing colour the shape of your humanness.

There is no where to go. What you are looking for is right here. Open the fist clenched in wanting and see what you already hold in your hand.

There is no waiting for something to happen, no point in the future to get to. All you have ever longed for is here in this moment, right now.

You are wearing yourself out with all this searching. Come home and rest.

How much longer can you live like this? Your hungry spirit is gaunt, your heart stumbles. All this trying. Give it up!

Let yourself be one of the God-mad, faithful only to the Beauty you are.

Let the Lover pull you to your feet and hold you close, dancing even when fear urges you to sit this one out.

Remember- there is one word you are here to say with your whole being. When it finds you, give your life to it. Don't be tight-lipped and stingy.

Spend yourself completely on the saying. Be one word in this great love poem we are writing together.

Poetry - Our Burning Hearts

Our Burning Hearts

Our burning hearts reach out now
So full of love and such a need

I see the flame burning so brightly
We love each other with such passion

The waves and wind bring us closer
As the eagle lifts us toward heaven

Where there was once such confusion
There is freedom that fills our hearts

I am finally at home with you
Our love gives me such clarity

There is such beauty within you
As we danced together once again

I am so intoxicated by our love
Our hears burn with such passion

Poetry - Once In A Lifetime

Once in a Lifetime

Once in a lifetime
A special woman appears
To touch my heart
With a love so true

She is the love of my life
An angel so very pure
Never have I loved one
as deeply as my Nicole

One Hug
One Kiss
One Life

Makes such a difference.

She challenges me so, but
Accepts me for all I am
How lucky I am - I know!
To have her to love and hold

Nicole, I will always love you
Protecting your from harm
Showing you new ways
And loving you as your man

You have eyes for only me
That know only the truth
The key to her heart
Is to love her true

Come her my precious one
And hold me for awhile
We have found a magick place
With a love that comes …

Once in a Lifetime!

Poetry - Seasonal

Seasonal

Weathering Love
lullabies by sea breeze

How wild and willing
Love me beyond

Cultivate my Soul
Tell me we are a whole

Embrace yet the dawn
Burning but the sun longing

Toward the moon
One man's come to pass

So that we have the room

You and I is all there is
In the Sky

Our Seasonal Bloom,

Nicole Hutchins - 2nd June 2006

And then Nicole does on to say:

I love, love, love you! …
I long to hold you !! Love you my baby lovebug.
You are Grand and I'm spiraling deeper & deeper
Into your embrace.

Poetry - Together

Together

Lying in bed
I sense you near

There is a circle
Of our love

Oh such desires ...

A kiss
A Hug
A Desire

To feel you close
Oh so close

To my heart
To my soul

Together
We come together

Poetry - My Angel, Our Dreams

My Angel, Our Dreams

I've never known an angel like
The one known as Love Flower.

She came to me upon a dream
To share a life and way so real.

I've been thru so much pain and sorrow
That I thought, oh no!, more of the same.

But, for once I feel an inner strength
A place where sweet dreams come true.

Precious angel, show me the way so true
Where dreams appear and true love grows.

"Take my hand dear one, and know"
I will lead you through the night.

Colors wrap you in safe possibilities
Such beauty to be made by only us.

Your wings seem so tired my dear
Cause I've been thru the same as you.

Close your eyes and open your heart
And let us begin our life together.

Such smells come upon the wind
To saver all that is my Love Flower

Let us taste the sweet desires of life
A feel of harmony that comes from inside.

You are the one, our dreams as only one
Use the keys now in your hands.

Oh, see the dreams of love and light
They are here for us to discover together

Ah, the love that was just a dream
Is now inside you and me

As we love each other
Forever
and
Ever

Poetry - Here I Am

Here I Am

Yes, my sweet love ,,,
Here I Am.

Standing beside you ...
Loving you forever.

You look at me and can see ...
How very happy you make me feel.

You can feel me ...
Even where you are.

Take hold of me ...
And bring me close.

Here I Am, darling ...
Such a part of you.

I am everything that ...
You think and feel.

Here, kiss me true ...
And feel our passions melt together.

I have always been you love ...
And your best friend.

Come here my love and wife ...
For you know what matters.

Because ...
Here I Am!

Poetry - Stars and Fireworks

Stars and Fireworks

Oh, the passions that I have for you,
It builds and becomes so intense.

The thoughts and desires I have,
As lips meet, it happens once again.

The heavens light up with our love,
Filled with all these bright stars,
And the bursts of magick fireworks,

Oh, Nicole, you are my one and only!
Your David comes to you to be yours.

We are touched by the light telling you
The love we share is so true and bright.

You understand what it takes to
Tame the fire insides ourselves.

Thanks for being there for me,
And darling to love me forever.

Poetry - My Heaven on Earth

My Heaven on Earth

She came into my life from afar,
Full of pain, mystery and desires.

I knew at once she was my best friend,
The one woman that I would love forever.

You were in prison and I did wonder,
But it did not matter, for you are me.

I love the way that you love me so true,
And how we balance each other so well.

You are so sensual, the way you love me,
All those passions that are so magical.

It is cool the ways that we talk together,
Learning, and teaching, with give and take.

I want to spoil you as you so deserve,
Love, flowers, and all those little things.

We are here to discover everything together,
And it's special how complete I feel with you.

We share a passion for life and have it all,
A trust that tells us we are truly soulmates.

I love so much about my Love Flower,
She brings such desires and needs in me.

I feel like singing and dancing all day,
For you have brought me a heaven on earth.

Thank you Nicole Lynn (Patterson), my wife and best friend, for loving me and being the love of my life.

Poetry - Tears

Tears

Tears seep upon flesh
to die on parted lips

Gasping whispers
Bitter touch
Compulsive emotions

Standing alone - envy of drowning self

Tainted screams of yesterday
Dreaming, love me raging

Be the life of me

Soothing blood flows
Cooper puddles, scent of misery

Captivated laughter, deep within
Abused skin
Scared deeply

Teach me
Teach me

Blood runs cold, ecstasy unfolds

A facade of tomorrows to come
Tears of reality
Are near death

Poetry - Living a Life With Wonder

Living A Life With Wonder

Life Does Not Come With Any Guarantees -
It Only Demands That We Give Our Best -
No More Or, No Less.

Life Needs to Be Lived to Its Fullest -
Full of Grace and a Belief in Yourself -
Having Open and Honest Relationships.

Life Brings Adventures Into Your Life -
Sometimes You Come to Crossroads -
That Change Your Life in Many Profound Ways.

You Have to Look Deep Into Your Heart and Soul -
To Discover Your Wildest Dreams and Wishes -
And Follow Them No Matter Where They Lead.

Sometimes the Road Will Be Steep and Difficult -
With Many Challenges to Understand Who You Are -
Angels Are There to Protect You Along the Way.

Your Greatest Rewards Come From the Struggles -
Discover Yourself and the Love Within Your Heart -
Being Open To All That You Were Meant To Be.

You Can Make It All Work When You Believe -
Seeing With Eyes That Sparkle And Shine -
Making It Work with a Prayer To God.

Use Your Strengths and Desire to Succeed -
To See Your Dreams With Clarity So Deep -
Taking the Risks to Make a Stand.

You Have Been Given a Wonderful Gift -
Discover Truth and Beauty Around You -
Bring Warmth and Love to Others.

Share Yourself With Others -
As Someone Who Cares Deeply -
And Looks For the Best in Others.

You Are an Angel That Is Rare Indeed -
That Shines That Light From Within -
And Imagines All the Possibilities.

In the End Your World Provides Many Things -
Good Health and Rewarding Work -
As Well as Relationships That Matter

May Your Dreams Bring You Inner Peace -
And Grace From the Hands of God.

Poetry - A Friend is a Treasure

These words say to much to me - what a friend is really about. It's caring about them and know there is a risk in sharing yourself with others. Some may deceive or even play games with your heart. But those that are true are the ones that will stand by you over a lifetime. Enjoy!!

A Friend is a Treasure

A friend is a treasure
You hold up to your heart
Each one is different, to be sure
To be learned from and cherished

A friend is a charm
Like the charm on a bracelet
Each independent and unique
But still part of a whole, a chain

A friend is the smile
That creeps up on your face
When you wear that chain
And one charm shines, catches your eye

A friend is forever
Adding their link to that chain
That grows into a family-like necklace
Each charm forever against your heart

My King

As Queen to the king
I give you my Everything

I rule only cause you stand with me
Equal as a pair should be

You are the king that rules the heart
That is beating upon the chest plate
Of the one who loves you

Upon the air she breaths

Poetry - Dream Weaver

Dream Weaver

I standing here thinking such thoughts about you!
Ah, here is the Dream Weaver to answer me true.

Holding our dreams in the palm of his hands,
To answer them with the songs in our minds.

My hearts has many memories and wishes for you,
That when joined together with desires, come true.

Night shadows fold across the blackened sky,
Feeling your intensity as the lightning strikes.

The stars kiss the morning as the sun rises,
Bring visions of you that become reality.

Oh, my Dream Weaver, I hold you in my heart,
Until the day you come back to become mine.

Poetry - The Invitation

The Invitation is a profound poem that touches deep feelings and emotions within us. Oriah Mountain Dreamer invites us to confront the varieties of human experience, from desire and commitment to sorrow and betrayal, and challenges us to open repeatedly to love and live.

The Invitation
by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love - for your dream - for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain - mine or your own without moving to hide it - or fade it - or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy mine or your own if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful - be realistic remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure yours and mine and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
