Poetry - Enchanted Love

Enchanted Love

I grew up believing in faerytales.
Where Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle really flew.
And the Knight did rescue the Faerie Queen.

But, the harsh life of later years.
Let's us know that is all nonsense.
And we need to face the realities of life.

Too many go on for a day,
Doing only what's required to get by,
And to hell with those childhood dreams!

A few of us know that there is more,
An enchanted world for us to discover,
Where galleons sail through seas of hope.

My hopes and dreams took flight one day,
Where I discovered enchanted love afar,
She reached out and invited me inside.

We began to talk and knew all at once
That we had what it takes together,
To create a world filled with a magickal love.

She looked into my eyes, full of anticipation,
All the rest had been so foreign and fake,
That now we have a chance for so much more.

We reached out to hold each other close
And discovered our Enchanted Love!
And all it took was to believe in
faerytales and dreams come true.

A beautiful poem inspired by a precious woman who loves me so much - Nicole Lynn.
